The Rules

No Electronic Devices: All participants must surrender their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices and are not allowed to use them during the camp.

No Internet Access: There will be no internet access available to ensure participants are not tempted to go online.

No Use of Digital Media: Watching movies, reading e-books, or playing video games on digital devices is not permitted during the camp.

No Social Media Use: Participants are not allowed to visit or use social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

No Emails or Messaging: Checking emails or sending and receiving messages via messaging services is prohibited.

Exceptions for Work Obligations: If participants have professional commitments that require limited digital communication, exceptions may be made, but only to a restricted extent and with the organizers‘ approval.

Respect for Other Participants: Participants are expected to respect the privacy and digital abstinence of others and not bring any devices or digital content that could disrupt the camp’s atmosphere.

No Watches or Timekeepers: Participants are encouraged to disconnect from constant timekeeping and rely on their natural sense of time. Watches and timekeepers should not be worn or used during the camp.

No Photography or Videography: No photographing or filming with digital devices is allowed during the camp, in order to fully focus on the moment and the experiences.

No Electronic Entertainment: Listening to music, watching movies, or playing video games on electronic devices is not allowed during the camp.

No Digital Tools: Digital tools such as electronic dictionaries, translation apps, or navigation devices are not permitted.

No Discussion of Digital Content: Discussions about digital content, online experiences, or technological news are discouraged to maintain focus on the offline experience.

No Exceptions Without Urgent Reason: All participants are expected to adhere to the rules of the Digital Detox Camp. Exceptions to the rules are only allowed in exceptional cases and must be pre-approved by the organizers.
